Home to School
We are a Lancashire County Council approved transport supplier to many of the areas schools and colleges, and the high standard of service for which we have become known is every bit as important as our involvement with local schools. We carry nearly 1800 students to and from school every day. All our drivers have enhanced CRB clearance and we enjoy a very active and close relationship with the Lancashire County Council Safer Travel Unit to ensure the safety and security of students at all times whilst in our care.
School Day Trips
Our fleet of buses and coaches have been specifically designed or adapted with the needs of school groups in mind. All are fitted with seat belts and the latest safety features. Were always happy to give assistance with the planning of your journey, including risk assessment and advice with itineraries, and we offer very competitive rates for school groups for whom we realise budgetary constraints are increasingly demanding.
We can take your school or college group anywhere in Europe via ferry or Channel Tunnel. We can help with planning, scheduled stops, hotels, insurance and risk assessments. We can also provide transport to and from international airports for your longer-distance school holidays.
Students with Disabilities
We have a ramp-access vehicle for up to 2 fixed wheelchairs and more with lateral transfers. Users who wish to remain in their wheelchairs will travel in a forward-facing position with approved anchorages and safety harnesses. The passenger seats have full three-point (lap and diagonal) seat belts.
All drivers have enhanced Criminal Records Bureau checks
Our in-house training department includes safer driving techniques and customer care, with particular focus on youth groups
We give our vehicles Full Safety Checks (the equivalent of an MOT) every 42 days for coaches and 56 days for buses (owing to their lower mileages)
All our buses and coaches are fitted with seatbelts
We have a full Health and Safety Policy in place
We have Risk Assessments for all types of transport, including transport for people with disabilities
