The Support Team

During Stuart's (our owner’s) tenure at Fraser Eagle, he crossed paths with Glen Chamberlain, the workshop manager of the maintenance section. Glen's expertise in engineering and training led him to join Stuart and Margaret as our esteemed Chief Executive Officer, guiding the company to new heights.

Our vehicle maintenance is conducted in-house, led by Joseph, who oversees a team of skilled professionals including Lee, Philip, Joel, Steven, Michael, and Claire. Their unwavering commitment and hard work have earned us recognition from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency as a Green Operator, signifying our dedication to exceeding stringent safety and maintenance standards.

The Office Team

In the bustling office environment, teamwork is at the core of our operations. Ken, Christian, Rachel, and Joe handle day-to-day enquiries and customer bookings. Christian meticulously manages the duty roster, ensuring seamless coordination between customers, drivers, and vehicles, all in pursuit of delivering superb customer service.

Jane and Colette excel in holiday and excursion planning, meticulously arranging every detail with hotels and visitor attractions. Their expertise ensures that our customers can book with confidence, knowing their travel experiences are in capable hands.

John is responsible for creating comprehensive school and service information packs, equipping our drivers with all the essential details about timetables, routes, and customers. His meticulous approach ensures that each journey is executed flawlessly.

School Transport Solutions Tailored to Your Needs

As an approved transport supplier to Lancashire County Council, we have a strong reputation for providing high-quality service to schools and colleges in the area. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond transportation, as we prioritise the safety and security of students in our care.

Home to School Transport:

We proudly transport nearly 1800 students to and from school every day. As a trusted partner of Lancashire County Council, all our drivers undergo enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) clearance, ensuring a safe environment for students during their journeys. We maintain a close relationship with the Lancashire County Council Safer Travel Unit to implement rigorous safety measures and protocols.

School Day Trips:

Our fleet of buses and coaches has been specially designed or adapted to cater to the needs of school groups. All vehicles are equipped with seat belts and the latest safety features. We are dedicated to assisting with the planning of school day trips, offering guidance on risk assessments, itineraries, and other essential details. Recognising the budgetary constraints faced by schools, we provide competitive rates without compromising on quality.

School Holidays:

Planning a school trip abroad? We have you covered. Whether it's a European excursion via ferry or the Channel Tunnel, we offer comprehensive support, including planning, scheduled stops, hotel arrangements, insurance, and risk assessments. We can also provide transportation to and from international airports for longer-distance school holidays, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for both students and staff.

Students with Disabilities:

We prioritise inclusivity and accessibility. Our ramp-access vehicle can accommodate up to 2 fixed wheelchairs and more with lateral transfers. Passengers who prefer to remain in their wheelchairs can do so in a secure, forward-facing position, with approved anchorages and safety harnesses. All passenger seats are equipped with full three-point (lap and diagonal) seat belts, ensuring the utmost safety and comfort for all.

Jane - Tours Manager

Jane who works in the Tours Department and has been a member of the Moving PEOPLE team for 6 years now and started back in 2016 as an Apprentice. How far she has come since then! What she loves most about her role is the fact that every day is different and it includes a little bit of everything! She is one of the key voices behind the phone who books all of your short breaks, holidays and day excursions. To ensure that these all run smoothly she prepares all the driver information packs for every trip and organises all our famous door-to-door pickups for customers, ensuring that personal service with collection straight from your front door before every tour.

Her favourite part of the job is most definitely speaking to our customers daily and knowing how happy travelling with us makes them!

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends.

Colette - Tours and Excursions Consultant

Colette works in the Tours Department and works tirelessly to put together our programme of holidays and day excursions for our customers to visit fantastic destinations and stay at superb hotels. She handles all the bookings and organises all the logistics for each tour and day excursion we run. Colette has been a member of the Moving PEOPLE team since 2014 and will be one of voices at the end of the telephone when you call. You can now put a face to a name! She is well versed with coaches and has been selling coach holidays since 2001 where she previously used to work for Fraser Eagle and Rossendale Travel. Her favourite part of the job is hearing the excellent feedback when our customers have had a great time and also encouraging people to get out and about to visit new destinations, meet new people and make memories. At home she has 3 beautiful children, a beautiful new granddaughter and an amazing husband, she enjoys going out for nice meals, days out with her family and likes to go keep fit with exercise classes at the local gym.

Ken - Head of Operations

Ken is a veteran of the coaching world having started his career many moons ago as a teenager, washing coaches at Fraser Eagle. He rose through the ranks and became the Managing Director before a brief spell away from the industry pursing a sabbatical as a Hotelier. After returning to the industry Ken has recently joined Moving PEOPLE as our Head of Operations bringing with him a plethora of experience and knowledge. Ken enjoys the occasional run and spending time with his family and friends.

Joe - Engineering Director

Joe started his career as an Apprentice PSV Mechanic at the ripe old age of 16 and has progressed his development to now Engineering Director, managing our vast fleet of vehicles and in-house team of Mechanics! What he loves most about his role is the fact that he is fully involved in all areas of the operation and will do anything from driving, cleaning to fixing vehicles, assisting in the office answering phone calls and scheduling timetables. In fact, he undertakes anything with the ultimate goal of ensuring that all our customers receive the best service possible. During Joe's spare time, when he has any away from working, is to spend time with friends socialising and going away caravanning and spending well earned quality time with his family.

Rachel - Operations Administrator

Rachel will often be the first port of call on the telephone if you are looking to hire one of our coaches or other vehicles to transport members of your group or school.

She provides a broad range of administrative support functions for the team which include coordinating office communications, tracking vehicles, purchasing, scheduling, workflow, and processing of invoices.

Basically, she makes sure that all the administration in the office runs smoothly and we all know how important that is!

She comes with a wealth of experience following her 19 years at St Mary's College previously where she was the admissions officer and project plan administrator, until it closed in July 2022.

Rachel brightens up the office as she loves to sing and has been a member of the Clitheroe pop choir for over 11 years now!

Reggie - Apprentice Mechanic

Reggie is our enthusiastic, new 16-year-old Apprentice Mechanic.

Reggie is obsessed with anything car, truck or bus related and will be starting his Apprenticeship in September.

We’ve already named our brand new bus after him!

He’s a breath of fresh air to the industry, a lovely lad and someone who oozes genuine interest, which is extremely hard to come by. We have very high hopes for Reggie, who is already diving headfirst into any task we throw his way!
