Cheshire is an area bursting with things to see and do, from amazing attractions to beautiful gardens, stunning stately homes to fabulous spa hotels, plus a new celebration of arts and culture. There is something for everyone of all ages. Throughout this tour we have the opportunity to visit some of the many beautiful areas bordered by this Northwest County. Our hotel is based just 2 miles from the historic city centre of Chester.

Itinerary

We head from Lancashire to Cheshire stopping at the spectacular Anderton Boat lift on the way with a boat trip and passage through the lift. We arrive at our hotel with lunch on arrival and then enjoy time to relax in the hotel. We have 2 full day excursions which include a 2-hour sailing on the River Dee. There is an opportunity to spot wildlife and a cream tea and sightseeing commentary is included. We have free time in the beautiful city of Chester. We also enjoy the Gothic Cholmondeley Castle surrounded by sweeping lawns, a temple water garden and a variety of mixed borders. Our break also includes a day at leisure around the spa hotel and beautiful gardens, or there are villages to discover nearby. After a leisurely breakfast we bid farewell and head home.
