The full day out includes a half day tour at the Silk Mill in Macclesfield with its unique insights into Cheshire’s past and how it defines the people, landscape, and industry of today. We then travel a short journey to the Lion Salt Works Museum where we enjoy lunch before exploring its exhibition by Cheshire Gardens Trust. This is one of the last open pan salt making sites in the world.
